Where to eat/drink during HK Sevens Weekend

24, March 2014

That time of the year is coming. Even if you're not attending the matches, there are some options in HK to eat/drink that will still make you feel like you're a part of the festivities. This is my list of where to go to become full immersed in the debaucheries.

  1. Inn Side Out- Western in Causeway Bay

You'll need some grease to soak up all the booze and alcohol. Come here.

  2. Dusk Till Dawn- Nightclub in Wan Chai

Come here closer to the dawn hours. No one cares or notices how bad your dancing is or how awful your voice is as you belt out some of everyone's favorite tunes.

  3. Carnegies- Bar in Wan Chai

Because you need another beer after you've had about 20 during the matches.

  1. K-Town Bar and Grill- International in Kennedy Town

The desserts are off the charts and serving sizes are MASSIVE.

  2. Wagyu Lounge- International in Central

Excellent breakfast pizza, quesadillas and buffalo wings.

  3. Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill- American in Admiralty

One of the best ribs in town.

Newcomer to the scene. Good selection of whisky and cigars.

  3. Sake Bar GINN- Bar in Central

    Good sake and eats

January - The Month to Reset!

21, January 2014

Some people like to take January to have a full detox/dry month. While I don't go to those extremes, I do like to use this time to eat a little better, drink a little less, and work out more. Here are some of the places I've been frequenting this month.

  1. Dandy's Organic Cafe- Western in Sheung Wan

Nice, laid back ambiance, great juices and food that is clean and fresh but doesn't have that bland "healthy" taste

  2. XYZ- in Central

I like the dark, cave-like vibe in this spin studio. Perfect setting to ride to your heart's content (and don't worry, it's so dark no one can see you)

  3. The Yoga Room- in Sheung Wan

Quaint, neighborhood yoga studio. Great instructors.
